things to do | week 44.

I'm beginning a new series/project: things to do. I'll post these lists weekly or monthly, or both. Since I've been feeling disheartened and not my best for the last couple of weeks, I've decided it's time take action and look at the good things in life. Because even though the days are getting darker and darker for every moment that passes, it doesn't mean that your mind has to go dark too - as the cliché says: there's always light in the end of the tunnel. And as Albus Dumbledore says: "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light". And these to do-lists are my light at the moment. They remind me of all the good things in life - no matter how small and task-like they may be.

Things to do in week 44:
  1. pick up a package at the post office.
  2. hand in two papers by the end of the week. 1 of 2! They changed the due day on the last one.
  3. go to the library to pick up a book about van Gogh (and return some books too).
  4. read 20 pages in Ulysses every day. Too tired, haha. Made it through four days.
  5. watch at least one episode of Gilmore Girls every day (yay!).
  6. go to a concert (charity concert arranged by a local high school).
  7. go for a walk with S.
  8. watch the finally of Alt for Norge. Oops, I forgot it! Have to watch the re-run.
  9. catch up with a friend I haven't seen in months - she's finally back in town!
  10. answering the today's question in the q and a a day journal every day.
What are your plans this week? Have a great Monday and a awesome week!

my week | 43.

favourite objects.

1. this natural deodorant, because it actually works - or so it has thus far.
2. these notebooks, because they let me pour my heart out + they let me write all sort of lists and crazy thoughts and plans in them.

yes please.
- nailpolish from Chanel and bright red lipstick on a ordinary Monday.
- Hamlet by W. Shakespeare. I love reading plays!
- organizing my books on my Goodreads-profile. Finally some kind of system.
- having a friend visit when you're feeling down. It does wonders to a dark mind.
- getting inspired to participate in NaNoWriMo - have no idea how it will turn out (the more reason to do it & more about this writing project later, maybe).
- the smell of library books and new books, books in general.
- the clean & crisp air that October has to offer.
- taking naps in the middle of the day, hah.
- it's been a pretty good blogging-week, have no idea what's happened & don't expect it to continue.

no thanks.
- yet another disheartened week, but I'm getting better! Highlights have been reading and planning NaNoWriMo, plus all you amazing people on Instagram and in the blogosphere in general.
- my beloved Converse trainers are falling apart, don't want to buy new ones - thankfully it's winter soon so I don't have to deal with that problem just yet.
- I've been the worst student this week and it has to stop: I've got two assignments to hand in next Sunday.

currently reading.
Ulysses by James Joyce! What a written mess this book is. Well, it makes me laugh from time to time at least and it's not as gruesome boring as I pictured it would be. But it makes no sense what-so-ever. And in between I've decided to read Kjærlighet by Hanne Ørstavik, just to get some sense into the mix.

my month in books | september.

from my first time using a disposable camera.
Better late than never, I guess. The September read list is short:

Jeg sluttet å telle dager by Caterina Cattaneo.
Oppdrag Mottro by Linda Eide.
Tenk kritisk og reflekter by Marit Greek, Kari Mari Jonsmoen and Ingunn Margrete Nilsen.

But as you probably know, I'm back on the reading track with this reading list. What are you guys reading these days?

Have a great weekend!

q & a a day.

Dagens spørsmål: Who is the last person in your missed calls?

  3. Hamlet by William Shakespeare.
  4. A Clockwork Orange by Anothony Burgess.

favoritt objekter.

no please.

1. Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys!

My week | 41.

favourite objects.

- This sky, because hello!

yes please.
- When it comes to school and studying, this week has been awesome.
- On Saturday: a nice evening with good friends.
- The sun is back! After a week or so with stormy weather, we finally have good weather. The sun in the fall is the most amazing thing.
- I'm so grateful that I have S. He's such a gentleman and takes such good care of me when I'm ill and not feeling my best.
- Slow mornings with a cup of tea and podcasts. I love slow mornings!

no thanks.
- I have had an incredible itch on my arms, legs, stomach and back for over a week. It's probably an allergic reaction, and it sucks big time. Time to go get rid of cosmetics, cleaning products etc that can cause an allergic reaction, I think.

currently reading.
Nothing! But I'm planning to read Løvetemmeren by Camilla Läckberg.

My week | 40.

It's already October!

Favourite objects.

1. Berlinerbolle + strawberry plate, because yum yum yum! & so pretty!
2. These colors, because fall is not just right around the corner - it's here!

Yes please.
- Sinnasnekkeren and Alt for Norge on Tv Norge; it seems like I've re-discovered television this fall.
- Speaking of; the documentary Barn av Christiania on NRK.
- The movie Fried Green Tomatoes. So beautiful and sad. A part of me wants to read the book too, but I'm a little afraid since I enjoy the movie so much.
- Went to a husflid-market yesterday. So many pretty things! I want it all ...
- Walks with S, still a weekly highlight (or highlights).
- Listening to PopQuiz with S. Love that radio show! The 60s are our achilles heel.
- This song:

Such a upbeat and funny song! Brightens my mood.

No thanks.
- My d-vitamine levels are low, and that's probably why I'm feeling so exhausted and tired all the time. Fortunately it's pretty easy to fix!
- When your neighbors upstairs is throwing a party and you have to ask them to please be a little more quiet at 02.30 (and you've been trying to sleep since 22.00).
- I have to buy a new pair of jeans. One of my old ones ripped and since I don't have that many jeans (& these were my favourites), I have to stop my not-buy-clothes-for-a-month-project a week early. And this leads me to: What's up with buying jeans with holes on the knees? Maybe I'm getting old, but ripped jeans have never worked for me.
- I forget to bring my disposable camera 2.0 when I go outside or anywhere. It's going to take forever to finish this film.

Currently reading.
Nothing. I returned Americanah to the library. Not because it was bad, but because I didn't feel like reading it right now. September hasn't been a great reading month, in other words.

Favourite dinner.

1. A stew with rice, kidney beans, minced meat, bell peppers, tomatoes, onions & spices.
